Adam has recently completed a Bachelor of Music at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, studying piano under Dr. Mary Lennon. He has performed in concerts as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician in venues such as the National Concert Hall, Mansion House and City Hall in Dublin and the Ulster Hall in Belfast. He has also performed as a concerto soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland Camerata, directed by Michael D’Arcy, and with the DIT Symphony Orchestra under David Brophy. Other highlights include solo recitals as part of the Boyle Arts Festival in King House, Roscommon, and in St. Iberius’ Church as part of the Music for Wexford Summer Lunchtime Concerts Series. He has had the benefit of masterclasses with many renowned pianists and teachers including John Lill, Christopher Elton, Phillipe Cassard, Jonathan Plowright, Vanessa Latarche, Hilary Coates, and Mabel Swainson. He has also participated in the Biel Summer Academy 2012 in Switzerland with Prof. Christian Favre, the Young Artists Programme at Clandeboye Festival 2013 with Barry Douglas and the Ferrara Piano Festival 2014 with Jeffrey Swann. Adam has been a multiple prizewinner in many festivals and feiseanna throughout Ireland, including Electric Ireland Feis Ceoil. Recent successes include the overall Sligo Feis Ceoil Senior Instrumental Bursary in 2012, the Alan Gillespie Ulster Bank Award at Clandeboye Festival 2013 and 2nd and 4th Prizes in the 2013 and 2014 Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year competition. He also represented Ireland as a competitor in the 10th Dublin International Piano Competition in May this year. Adam is very grateful to have been recently presented with funding from the Music Network Music Capital Scheme, funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
