Originally from Romania, Kristina attended her first piano at the young age of six with Professor Walter Metzger. Even after her family emigrated to Switzerland in 1980, Kristina still remained very passionate about the piano and continued to hone her craft. After years of studying, she achieved her Solo Diploma at the Conservatory in Bern, after which she continued her studies at the Juilliard School in New York with Joseph Kalichstein. Additionally, she attending Indiana University in Bloomington, where she was a student of the late, distinguished professor, György Sebök. It was at Indiana University that she received her Artist Diploma. Kristina has a large body of work under her belt, including first prize at the Mozart Competition in New York in 1990. Among others, she performed at the Alice Tully Hall, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Bruckerhaus in Linz. Music has led Kristina all over the world. Solo and chamber music performances brought her to Germany, Austria, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Mozambique, Chile, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, and to the United States.
