American Pianist Deiran Manning considers himself a New Yorker, though much of his early days were spent in Maine. Prior to attending Indiana University, he attended New England Conservatory and Manhattan School of Music Pre-College programs. Deiran went to LaGuardia High School of Music and Art otherwise known as the “Fame” school. Notable awards include; Stanza Governor’s Prize in Composition, LISSMA International Piano Competition, Children’s Foundation for the Arts, Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, and the Ira Gershwin award. Notable performances have taken place at venues such as Merkin Concert Hall, Weil Recital Hall and the New York City Mayor’s residence, Gracie mansion. Deiran currently studies with Edmund Battersby at the Jacobs School of Music, where he is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Piano performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in history.
