Pianist Natalie Doughty began her musical studies at age 4, advancing as a winner and finalist in in many local, state, and regional competitions. During her undergraduate studies at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Natalie studied with Canadian pianist, Dr. Lori Piitz, and enjoyed master class coachings with Asaf Zohar, Mirian Conti, Jean Paul Sevilla, Gabriel Dobner, and Stephen Gosling. Other engagements include interning for the Staunton Music Festival in Staunton, Virginia and Shenandoah Valley’s Bach Festival and Baroque Workshop in Harrisonburg Virginia. While at JMU, Natalie was Vice President and President of the JMU Keyboard Association. Natalie graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Music in piano performance in May and plans on returning to James Madison to pursue a Master's degree in piano performance this coming fall.
