Hansac Ho comes from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA.  He started learning the piano at the age of 5 and the violin at the age of 10, but recently he is more focused on piano studies.  Former piano teachers include Kathleen Zhang and Andy Whittington.  Currently, he studies with Dr. Frank Pittman of Durham, North Carolina.

Hansac is alum of the Duke University String School (DUSS), a rigorous youth orchestra training program.  Being a part of DUSS greatly influenced Hansac's philosophy in music.  With extensive immersion in orchestral playing as well as regular participation in music theory classes, he significantly advanced his musical insights.  Next year, Hansac is going into his final year at Chapel Hill High School and plans to take college level music theory classes.  At his high school he serves as president of Save The Music Club, an after-school organization wherefrom high school volunteers assist elementary students in their piano, guitar, and singing practice.  In conjunction with Hansac’s advocacy in music education he is also a member of the international Tri-M Music Honor Society.  He is pleased to be accepted as a participant in the 2015 Dublin International Piano Festival & Summer Academy and plans to continue his studies in music.
