Gabriele Baldocci, pianist and conductor, was born in Livorno in Italy. He has given concerts in world-renowned musical centres such as Tonhalle in Zurich, Parco della Musica in Rome, Teatro Colòn in Buenos Aires, Sala Verdi in Milan, Auditorium RTSI in Lugano, Teatro Ghione in Rome, Palacio de Festivales in Santander, Teatro Rossetti in Trieste, Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, Parnassos Hall in Athens, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Teatro Lirico in Cagliari and many others. Baldocci has performed at international festivals including Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano, Vendsyssel Festival in Denmark, Martha Argerich Festival in Buenos Aires, Bologna Festival, Pietrasanta in Concerto International Festival, and the Erasmo Capilla International Music Festival in Mexico. He recorded Nino Rota's complete works for Strings and Piano with violinist Marco Fornaciari, Michael Glenn Williams piano music for the Stradivarius label, and he is working on Beethoven’s Complete Symphonies transcribed by Liszt for solo piano, to be published in five CDs by Dynamic in 2012 and 2013.
His performances are regularly broadcasted on radio and TV, and the Italian classical TV channel "Classica" has produced a documentary about him.He has been awarded prizes at several important piano competitions including the Alessandro Casagrande International Piano Competition and the Martha Argerich Piano Competition.Baldocci is an official Ambassador, Performer and Professor of the Martha Argerich Presents project, and he frequently plays in various chamber music formations including duos, trios and quintets. For many years he has played in a piano duo with Martha Argerich, as well as forming a stable partnership with the Argentinean pianist Daniel Rivera.
