Benjamin Huang is an undergraduate at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he studied with the late Prof. Edmund Battersby. Benjamin receives a full ride through multiple merit awards. Before his collegiate years, Benjamin spent three summers attending the Indiana University Piano Academy, where he participated in masterclass led by Andre Watts, performed in the honors recital, served as a peer counselor, won second place in the annual duet competition, and received an incentive scholarship award towards Jacobs School of Music tuition. In 2016, Benjamin returned to the academy, this time as a full-time counselor. In addition, Benjamin won all three secondary school awards in the Indiana Piano Teachers Guild, and was a regular award winner for Indianapolis Matinee Musicale and the Indiana Music Teachers Association. Benjamin also won first place in the 2012 Depauw University Piano Competition.
