William Perry has participated in piano festivals throughout the world including festivals in Czech Republic, Italy, France, and in the states of Oregon, Hawaii and throughout his home state of Florida. Recent awards include 1st Place at the 2015 Florida State University Bach Competitive Festival, prize winner of the Trula Whelan Concerto Competition, and recipient of the Gladys Strong Award. William graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, studying with Dr. Michael Rickman. Currently, he is a teaching assistant at Florida State University where he instructs group piano classes. He is also a graduate piano performance and pedagogy student at FSU where he studies with Dr. Joel Hastings. William is a skilled improviser and plays jazz regularly as a soloist and ensemble member.
