Scott began playing piano at the age of six with his first teacher, Marika Barna, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After her passing, Scott continued his studies at the age of thirteen with University of Michigan professor, Louis Nagel. He studied with Nagel for several years, and then in high school, he began studying with Randall Faber. Throughout his years studying Piano Performance at Albion College, Scott studied with Dr. David Abbott and Dr. Lia Jensen-Abbott. While at Albion College, Scott received a distinguished award in piano performance and the honor of playing at Albion College’s Homecoming showcase. Scott began composing beginning to mid intermediate piano pedagogy pieces and did an internship in piano pedagogy and was recently inducted into the musical national honors society, Pi Kappa Lambda. Scott spent two years at Bay View Music Festival, in Petoskey Michigan, where he was able to accompany an array of instrumentalists and singers. This included playing in a piano trio.
